What will Affect your Choices in Career Training?
Many people set out with the intent on landing the job of their dreams. This is a great goal to have, yet is really only achieved by few. This is not meant to discourage you in any way from pursuing a particular job you want, it is only meant to help you realize that usually a job will only do one thing or the other for you.
What two things am I referring too? Well most people are either totally satisfied with there jobs or completely miserable. What category do you fall into? You may say, well I make good money, but I hate my work environment. Many people say that they may really enjoy doing what they do, yet the yearly salary they make does not fill their needs.
When attempting to enroll in school to extend your education allowing you the opportunity to make more money, it is important to really research the job you are going to pursue. Sure the pay check may be nice, but will you really enjoy the work that you are doing? Whether you plan on attending a college or university and will spend 4 years to get a degree, or you only plan on spending less than a year to earn a certificate, it is still important to know what you are getting yourself into. Wasted time, is still time.

Starting a Career
Before starting a successful career, time and effort on your part will need to go into the research involved in knowing what all is involved in a particular career path. Sure a job may make a lot of money and it may even be a job that is easy or fun, but what schooling is required and is it truly a career that will make you happy?
Money should never be your complete motivation for a career. Sure money is nice, but if you go after career soley for the fact that you will make a lot of money, chances are you will never be happy with your job. Schooling should also play a large factor on whether or not you choose a particular career. Do you want to spend 1 year, 2 years or even 4 years in a school to earn a degree?
If long term schooling is not something you want to do, would learning a trade or skill be a better route for you to go? There are trade schools located in every state that offer hands on training courses that will earn you a certificate or a degree in as little as a year or two. The fields are wide open in the trades industry and vary from auto mechanics to x ray technicians. A trade school will usually choose a particular field and specialize in that area. If you want to learn how to cook you would go to a culinary arts college, and if you wanted to learn radiology you would find x ray technician schools.
Trade school educations can land you a job quickly and easily earning a good amount of money in a short time. Do not settle. Your career is your life and should be taken very seriously. Research is key, and not only reading, but talking to anyone in a particular field you are interested in to find out what they think about it personally. Talking to someone who has allready been through the schooling and training needed for a particular job can really open your eyes and change the way you feel about pursuing one career over another.
